The Dream Children's Home is an orphanage located in Kenya, not far from Nairobi, in the countryside between Ngong and Matasia Town. The orphanage helps children with interpersonal development skills through education, medical care, building of their self-esteem and social living skills. Dream Children's Home was founded in 2004 by Rachel and Stephen - a Kenyan couple who opened their home to orphaned youngsters. The orphanage now houses more than 110 children, who have a place to sleep, eat and feel safe. The end goal is for the orphanage to be sustainable and self-sufficient. However, at the moment the home is dependent on donations. Furthermore, as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for additional face masks and sanitary products has increased their ongoing costs.
